TAX COLLECTOR’S OFFICE REMAINS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

UPDATE: July 1, 2020

SYSTEM OUTAGE - Last week, the Tax Collector's Office for Polk County began experiencing technical difficulties, resulting in a disruption to certain computer systems. We are working diligently with third-party specialists to further investigate the source of this disruption, confirm its impact on our systems, and to restore full functionality to our systems as soon as possible.

Due to the extra precautions and measures being taken, the Tax Collector’s Office is now looking to reopen it offices as soon as possible. It is important that the Tax Collector’s Office take all due caution in responding to this challenge.

REGULAR VEHICLE REGISTRATIONS & DRIVER LICENSE INFORMATION - For further consideration, individuals who are seeking vehicle registration or driver license renewals may conduct their transactions online at GoRenew.com. Also, individuals seeking regular vehicle registration renewals may utilize the kiosks at the Grove Park and Oakbridge Publix locations in Lakeland.

PROPERTY TAX INSTALLMENT PAYMENT INFORMATION - Typically, for those participating in the property tax installment plan, the first property tax installment is due by June 30th. Due to our current system outages, the payment deadline has been extended to Wednesday, July 15th for customers to receive the 6% discount.
